A TOUCHING APPEAL.
Ths very heart of true pathos is embodied in this cry taken from the agony column of a London paper: — "Jack, won't you come to your loving but unhappy wife? Keep her in the dark no longer. You are dearer each day, and how she nines to be with you. Be kind, forgive; don't kill her with grief. She is ever yours." Unless "Jack" is even more obstinate than the average mule, he will put on his hat and go right back to the tender heart that yearns for him.
