WEATHER REPORT.

WELLINGTON, this day.
Wind: Gale from between north-east and north-west at all places northward of Kaikoura and HoWtika; from between north-west and south-west elsewhere. Barometer: Fall everywhere, but rising at all places' southward of Timaru and Queenstown after 12 hours. Sea: Heavy on all the Western Coast, and on the Eastern Coast north of East Cape and southward of Castle Point. Tides: High on the Western Coast of the North Island, and on the East Coast north of East Cape; also, at Cape Camp(bell* good on the Western Coast of the -Couth Island; moderate in other parts. Rain is expected in all parts of the country. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Capes Maria Van Dieman, Campbell and Foulwind, Farewell Spit, also at the East Cape, Tiritiri, and Nugget's Point. Synopsis of the last 24 hours: Moderate to strong westerly winds and generally fine weather, with little movement of the barometer, which has, however, fallen in the Southern districts since midnight.
