Drunkenness: Three first-offending "drunks" were convicted and discharged, and . another offender, who had not been up for some time, was fined 5/ or 24 hours' in default. Henry Xaylor was fined 5/ or 34 hours' in default for a second offence within

six months

Obscene Language: Eliza Woods was sent to gaol for three weeks for using obscene language in Yelvertonterraee. . ' ..

Wilful Damage: Ed. Barrett was fined 5/ for drunkenness, and 30/ with seven days' in default for. wilfully damaging , a mackintosh .belonging to Constable Wade.

Trespass: A young , man named Joseph William Spivey was convicted for trespassing on the premises of Mrs Thome, Grey-street, and refusing to leave when warned, and was discharged.

Window-breaking: A man named Charles Fabrun was charged with wilfully damaging two panes of glass, the property of Andrew Gabriel. The evidence went to show that yesterday accused threw three stones through the window of the Zealandia Oyster Saloon, Queen-street. Constable Moriarty said accused was evidently suffering- from the effects of drink. Accused told the Court he remembered nothing about the occurrence. Accused was admitted to probation for six months, conditionally on Mb paying the £12 damage in instalments of 10/ ft week.
