WHATAWHATA RACES.

HAMILTON, this day.
The Whatawhata races yesterday were very successful, but the fields were not so large as usual. A protest against Repetition, winner of the Cup on the grounds that Wilson, the jockey, is unregistered, wae held over till Saturday. A further protest against Puffing Billy, who wae second for the Cup, on the ground of inconsistent running, will be considered at the same time. The following are the 7* f* milts *■■ *' Hurdies.-Signal 1, Puffing BUly 3. Only two started. _ , Maidenl Plate.—Lady Peeress J, Velea 3i Hangitangi 3, Cup.-Repetition 1, Puffing Billy 8, Kingsman also started. Pony Race.—Leda 1, Hunaron 3, Glenara 'Haclf Race.-Pukeho 1, Gold Dust & Only two started. Bracelet.—Kingsman and Puffing Billy only starters. „ Trot—Carbolic 1, Vulpine 2, Kato 3. Eleven starters. Won easily. Flying Handicap.—Lady Peeress L Kingsjnan 2, Hanarjjn 3. Only starters. Won with ease.
