Daffodil Seeds, etc.—l have never grown daffodil from seed, so cannot tell bow long it takes the seed to come up. Perhaps some of my readers could supply the Information. Auriculus.-You should pot them off now; place in a cool, shady place, and keep them moist. About tne end of Apnl you could plant out .where they are to grow. TLe auriculus does not succeed well m our climate. Plant to Name (Northeote). - I have never seen the plant before, but will try to obtain the name for yon. I would be clad to get some of the seed. Briar Root, etc. (J. 8.).— The specimen you sent me is entirely covered with fungoid growth. I ci.uuot tell you anything which would kiil it without destroying the plant. Potatoes: The samples sent are in a bnd woy. As your crop has been affected in this way for two years, I would advise you not to grow potatoes in tfie same place for the next few years. Pine Trees. I'oii enn easily kill your pine trees by stripping off a ring of bark all round the bottom of each tree, and cutting well into the wood.
