The following are the results of the races held on the 26th and 27th insts. at Mangawhare :—
FIRST DAT.
Handicap Hurdle Race of 20sovs, one mile and a half.—Marshall's Sirdar 1, Swlftfoot 2, Telephone 11. 3. Dividends, £1 1/ and £1 16/.
Maiden Plate Handicap of 20sovs, one mile and a quarter.—This resulted in a walk over for Swagsman. Scratched: Cuba, Talisman, Sirdar.
Northern Wairoa Cup of 50aovs, one mile and a half.—Mr A. Vail's Commodore 1, Kohara 2, Sundial 3. Corporal led all the way, being just beaten by Commodore a few lengths from home. He was, however, disqualified for running Inside a post. Won by two lengths. Dividends, £1 and £3 10/.
Hack Maiden Handicap of 15sovs, one mile and a quarter.—Rainbow 1,-Walmana 2, Miss Flora 3. Won easily. Dividends, £1 14/ and 7/.
Flying Handicap of 15sovs, six -Thelmal, Sly Miss 2, St Rowan 3. Won easily. Dividend, £3 7/. Gumdlggers' Purse Handicap of 18sovs, one mile.—Commodore and Swagman dead heat, Sly Miss 3. Dividends: On Commodore, 15/; on Swagman, £1 8/. Handicap Pony Race of 12eovs, threequarters of a mile.—Dan McCarthy 1, Bit-o'-Fashlon 2, Sweet Marie 3. Won easily. Dividend, £1 2/.
SECOND DAT.
Second Handicap Hurdle Race of 2550v3, one mile and a half.—Swiftfoot 1, Sirdar 2, Lightning 3. Won comfortably. Dividend, £2 18/.
Kalpara Handicap of 40sovs, one mile and a quarter.—Commodore 1, Aurega 2, Bar-the-Door. 3. Won by a length. Dividend, £1 6/. Flying Hack Handicap of 15sovs, threequarters of a mile.—Rainbow 1, Miss Flora 2, Dan McCarthy 3. Won easily. Dividend 17/.
Stewards' Handicap of 20sovs, seven furlongs.—Corporal 1. Geraldlne 2. Won easily. Dividend 10/. Hack Weher Handicap of 15sovs, two miles.—Bob 1, Swiftfoot 2, Blt-o'-Fashion 3. Dividend, £1 j/. Shorts Handicap of 15sovs, six furlongs. —St. Rowan 1, RosipheFe 2, Rainbow 3. Won easily all the way. Dividends, 14/ and 8/.
Readjusted Handicap of 20sovs.—Sly Mlas'l, Commodore 2. Dividend, 11/.
