TENNIS TOURNAMENT.
MISS NUNNELY WINS THE
LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP,

NELSON, Thursday.
Owing to the heavy showers in the early morning the tennis tournament was not resumed before noon. The
results are:—
Ladies' Championship Singles: Miss Nunneley beat Miss Gore, 6—3, 6—l. Ladies' Championship Doubles: Misses Gorrie and Nunneley beat Misses P. Gorrie and Langridge 6 —S, 6 —2, 6—3. A fine match. Men's Handicap Singles (first grade): Fisher beat. Wilding, 6—5, 6—2. Fisher beat Swanston 6—l, 6—5.
Men's Handicap Doubles: Green and Broad beat Fisher and Wilding, 3—6, 6—3, 6—5. Parker and Gore beat Green and Broad, 7—5, 6 —3. Ladies' Doubles Handicap: Misses Wright and Glasgow beat Mrs Burnes and Miss Bauchop, 6 —5, 6—3. Misses Bell and Robinson beat Misses Wright and Glasgow, 7 —5, 6—l. Combined Handicap: Gore and Miss Gore beat Broad and Miss Gibbs, 6—4, 6 —5. Fisher and Wright byel. Gore and Miss Wright, 6—3, 6—5. Swanston and Miss Batham are said to have scratched, leaving the final between Gore and Miss Gore and Burnes and Mrs Burnes. This last is the only event undecided.
