Wind.—'Heavy gale from between northeast, north and west at all places northward of Napier and Wanganui. Strong gale be/.ween north-west and south-west thence southward to Kaikoura and Hokitika, changing after a time; strong from between north and east and southeast in. the South Island north of Lyttelton and Hokitika; strong gale between "Test, south-west and south elsewhere. Brv? cwneter.— Fall everywhere north■warcd of Lyttelton and Hokitiku; rise but fall after 16 hours thence southward.

Se a.—Heavy on the West Ooast northward of Westport, ahd on the Eastern CoJist north of East Cape, also Cape Caf.mp'bell; considerable thence southward.

Tides.—High on the Western Coast of ttae North Island, and on the East Coast liorth of East Cape; moderate thence to 'Castlepoint; high at Cape Campbell- good elsewhere. Rain.—Heavy northward of Kaikoura and Westport.
