In pursuance of "The Electoral Act, 19C»"" I SYDNEY JOHN BROOKFIELD ' Upturning Officer for the Electoral Dktßltf of MANUKAU, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ, benring date the 11th day of November, 1902, trader the hand of the ni.n-k of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of ONE qualified person to serve as Member for the said dls"ricf and that the latest day for receiving uominations of Candidates will be the 18th day of November, 1902, and that the Poll if necessary, will be taken at the several Polling Places of the said District on the 25th day of November, 1902. Every Man desirous of becoming a Candidate must be nominated by not lesa than two electors of the District, by a nomination paper as prescribed by Section 99 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer, at the Courthouse, Onehunga, not later than 5 o'clock in the afternoon of the 18th day of November, 1902. I also give notice that on the same date and at the same Polling Places, the Licensing Poll of the above District will be taken uader the "Alcoholic Liquors Sale CoDtrol Act Amendment Aot, 1895," upon the following proposals, viz:— 1. Whether the nnmber of Licenses existing in the district IS TO CONTINUE 2. Whether the number of Licenses existing in the district 1)3 TO BE REDUCED. 3. Whether NO LICENSES are to be granted in the district. The Poll will open at 9 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. TUESDAY, the 18th day of November, not later than five o'clock In the afternoon, is the day appointed to receive Nomination Schedules, Form No. 1, under "The Licensing Poll Regulation Act, 1899," which will be open for public inspection.
