PAEROA, this day.
The Karangahake sports, postponed from Saturday, Bth Inst., on account of the rain, were toeld on Saturday afternoon at Mackaytown. There was a good attendance, and some excellent sport was provided, both in the bicycle and foot racing. The following are the fesults of tha chief events:— Maiden Bike Race.—Griffin, 1; Irwin, -. Karangrahake Wheel Race: H. Hayward, 1; Cordes, 2. President's Bike Handicap: Cordes, 1; Chappel, 2. Mackaytown BiKe Handicap: Cbample, 1; Griffin, 2. Sheffield Handicap: Murray and Mettam, dead heat. Half-mile Handicap: Clark, 1; Kirkwood, 2. 440 Yards Handicap: Kirkwood. 1; Mettam, 2. 120 Yards Hurdies: McGruer, 1; Ryan, 2. 109 Yards Handicap: Cochrane, 1. J . .
