THE STORY OF THE RAFT.
No Hews of the Missing Boat
H.M.S. PENGUIN IN SEARCH.
No news has yet been received of the Eiingamite's missing boat, and as over a -week has now elapsed since the wreck occurred there is very little chance that her unfortunate occupants will ever be found alive. H.M.s. Penguin has resumed ■ her cruise along the coast, havingleft here on Saturday afternoon in search of the boat. She is expected to visit the northern coast of the Great Barrier, and Mokohinau Island, and then cruise towards the North. The s.s. Zealandia is expected to arrive at Sydney to-day from Auckland, and news from her is awaited
with some interest, as she may possibly have something further to report.
The s.s. Mararoa on her trip from Gisborne searched the Bay of Plenty, hut saw no sign of the missing boat.' The weather was dull.
