WEATHER REPORT.

WELLINGTON, this day.
Wind: Strong to moderate from westward at all places northward of Napiei and New Plymouth; gale after from ii to 20 hours from between north-east and north-west at other places southward to ©unedin and Queenstown; from between north-west, south-west, thence to Foveaux Straits. Barometer: Further l-he at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth; fall elsewhere. Sea: Heavy on all western coast and between Castlepoint and Kaikoura. Tides: High on western coast of North Island, also at Cape Campbell; moderate at all other east coast places. Rain is probable southward of Napier after from 12 to 20 hours. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwind and Farewell,.and at Nugget Point. Synopsis of the last 48 hours: Throughout the country the barometer has continued to rise steadily since about 8 p.m. on Saturday. Strong southerly winds have been prevalent. Rain has fallen southwards of Napier and New Plymouth. Frost is reported from Tophouse.
