An elderly lady named Mrs Collins, Whose home is at Onehunga, fell in a fainting fit in Queen-street about mid-day to-day, and is now in the hospital in a serious condition. She had been visiting an upstairs office at the Government Life Insurance Buildings, and the exertion proved too much for her, as she collapsed and fell in an unconscious state on reaching the street. Mr F. Crespin and one or two other gentlemen who were passing carried the lady into ihe Life Insurance Buildings, and Dr. Moir's services were obtained. After attending to the unconscious woman he recommended her removal to the hospital, where she was taken in a cab. She is thought to be suffering from an affection of the heart.

Hall and 'Perkins' mart, City Market, to-day, a number of buildings situated on allotments between Hepburn and Picton streets, near the Western Park, were offered for sale by auction for removal by the authority of the Auckland City Council.
