Annie Aubert Wright v. Edward Fondi Wright. Petition for divorce on the groundi ol desertion.
Mr Clayton appeared for petitipn-
, iPetitioher stated that she was married to her husband, a miner, at St. Mark's Church, Remuera, on December 31st, ISS9, and. after a short, stay in Onehunga and Auckland they lived at Mount Somers, in Canterbury, for three years. They then moved to Ashburton, and her husband left her there while he went to Australia to float a consumption cure. Failing in his object he went to London, and ceased corresponding- in 1894. She had recently traced him to Capetown, where the summons was served.
George. Roberts, a. connection by marriage of the respondent, said that during his residence in London Wright's name frequently appeared in the New Zealand .newspapers among "the "Personal . Jfojtes from London," and his departure for South Africa was similarly announced.
