AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
The result of the ballot to elect six members of the committee of the Auckland Racing Club was not announced until 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. It was as follows: H. T. Gorrie (15S votes), Thomas Morrin (156), H. 0. Nolan (140), 0. W. S. Patterson (127), A. Hanna (118) and Murdoch McLean (100). The Chairman (Mr A. Kidd) declared these gentlemen accordingly elected. The other candidates were Messrs Herbert Thompson (87), Fred Earl (66), Ernest Colson (44), an_ J. T. Armitage (25). There were also nine informal votes. Mr A. Wright moved a hearty vote of thanks to the officers and gentlemen connected with the management of the club. This was carried with applause, the chairman- returning thanks on behalf of the president and officers. Votes of thanks were accorded the secretary (Mr Percival), the scrutineers, and the chairman.
