Mr W. Lockhart, secretary to the Otahuhu Trotting Club, writes, that at a meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association, h^eld on W;edp.osdsy, }7th May, the appeal of Mr G. W. Mcßride against the Otahuhu Trotting Club's decision in the Duke C.-Heiress case was dismissed, and the deposit money ordered to be retained.
The parade of the Auckland Naval Artillery Volunteers called for this evening has been postponed on account of the rough wea,ther. On Tuesday next General Babington, is to hold his annual inspection of the corps. , _ _. _.
