DEATHS.
IVANS.—On May 11th, 1902, at the residence of bis brothers, J. J. and S. H. Evans, Mititai, N. Wairoa, after a short and painful illness, Joseph Brereton, dearly loved fourth son of James Poynton and Emtna Evans, of Opotiki, age 23 years. His end was peace.
