The time allowed for free return of stud sheep consigned by rail for breeding purposes has been extended by 'two months.
DUNEDIN, Saturday.
Mr Carncross, M.H.R., is being farewelled on all sides. The Taieri volunteers -presented him with a silver cigar-case. The Borough Council entertain him next week. Mr Carncross leaves for his new home on Tuesday. VThe deaths are announced of Mrs Beaver, an old identity, and Mrs Dawe, wife of the manager of Reid and Gray.'s.
