A MEMORIAL WINDOW.
The unveiling of the window placed in All Saints' Church, Ponsonby, to the memory of tbe first incumbent of that parish, Eev. E. N. Bree, took place yesterday morning. The screen was raised by Dr. Bayntun, tbe oldest friend of the late incumbent. The hymn, "Ye Servants of tbe Lord,' was sung, after which the Yen. Archdeacon Calder conducted tbe special service for the occasion. The window, which was greatly admired, reflects credit on the artists, Messrs Clayton and Bell. The colouring is very effective. Beneath the window is a memorial tablet to tbe late Mr Bree. Tbe figures depicted in tbe window are Bishops Selwyn, Hadfield, Abraham, and Harper, the Hon. Colonel Haultain, Hon. Mr Swainson, and Hon. E." W. Stafford, M.L.C. As stated in Saturday's issue, tbe window represents the granting of the constitution to the Church of New Zealand at St. Stephen's Church, Parnell.
