CHKISTCHUECH, this day

The Christchureh electoral roll shows that there are some 10,000 fewer electors registered than there were at the general election' in 1899. The number then on the roll was 21,351, whereas now the figure only reaches 11,093. The result is due to the purging of the roll after the byelection of 1901. Mr James Hazlett, well known m Dunedin racing circles, and at one time a member of the successful racing firm of which the late Mr James Stephenson was his senior partner, contemplates a visit Home. He will leave in time to be present-at the Coronation celebrations.
