The contest for the junior cricket championship wa.« concluded on Saturday, when Foundry 11. defeated Haurski by six wickets, and thus won the junior championship. Continuing their .si-cond innings tiatuaki made 2?. Foundry requiringl 2o to get to win, made a bad start i'oiir wickets fell for nine runs, bui the next wicket got the required runs ami the match was won by ,«ix wickets.

A return cricket match between Australians and New Zeauinuers was played on Saturday afternoon on the Waihi Recreation Ground. The following were the scores: —Australians: Williams, S; Rea, 9; Burr, 2; Ellen, 9; E. Graham, 15; T. Graham, 0; Taylor, 0; Jones, 0; Skinner, 1; Wood, 0; Bell, 3; byes, 1: total, 4S. New Zealanders: Lloyd, 0; Wallnutt (not out), 10, Berige, 11; Lang. 14; Duff, 0; Bell, 3; Afkell, 10; Rev. Olphert, 1; Morgan, 2; Johnson, 20; McKay, 3; byes, '3: total, 77. The New Zealanders thus won by 29 runs and one wicket.
