NEWMARKET METHODIST CHURCH.

m The Sunday School anniversary servicjes in connection •with this church were held yesterday, and were a great success. In the morning the Eev. J. J. Lewis, the new superintendent of the Graft-on Road Church, occupied the pulpit, and delivered an appropriate sermon, wihich was much appreciated. In the afternoon Mr Macpherson, the city missionary, addressed ihc parents and friends. In the evening the church was crowded to its utmost capacity. The Rev. W. Gray 2>ixon, M.A., delivered an able address on family religion. The Sunday School scholars, choir and orchestra, under Mr P. Dow, rendered special music, and several solos were sung at the different services. The annual soiree will be held next Wednesday evening, the tea being dispensed in the Newmarket Hall, to be followed by a meeting iin the church,. at which addresses will be delivered by the Revs. Garland, Potter, and the circuit ministers.
