Preparations are being made to give the Premier a citizens' dinner at the Empire Hotel on Thursday, prior to his embarking on the Drayton Grange for South Africa and England. !_.
Some of the members of the Wellington Seddon testimonial committee state that information privately received from Christchurch putdown the total subscriptions received in all parts, of the colony at about £2000.

Nelson subscriptions to the Seddon testimonial amount to about £100, from; about 100. subscribers.
