THE TRENTHAM CAMP.

Mr. Witheford visited Trent-ham encampment on Saturdaj' afternoon, and was much struck with the excellent drill and attention to duty on the part of the Auckland members of the Eighth Contingent. In the course of conversation the member for Auckland invited the Aucldanders to visit the Opera House on Wednesday evening next, when Pollards' Opera Company will produce a "military play." Arrangements will be made with the Railway Department for the conveyance to and fro of 200 Allcklanders of all ranks, who will occupy seats in the gallery aud stalls.
