THE WAIMATE SALVAGE.
WELLINGTON, December 27.
The steamer W 7aimate v/as seized here this morning under an order of the Vice-Admiralty Court, at the instance of the owners of the steamer Ahuriri vand the Napier Fire Brigade, for satisfaction of a claim of £1000, for services rendered on the occasion when the vessel was latterly on fire in the Napier roadstead. The claim was settled by the payment of £700.
