■ Wind — Gale from between east and north and north west at all places north of Thames and Manukau after 16 hours. Gale from between north east and south east at other parts of the North Island Moderate to strong easterly winds in au parts of South Island. ,
Barometer—Fall everywhere. Sea—Heavy eastern coast north, of East Cape and on western coast north ot Cape Egmont; moderate elsewhere. Tides — North Island, high on east coast north of East Cape; low thence to Napier. Good thence to Cape Palhser; high on west coast north of Cape Egmont; low elsewhere. South Island: Low on all the western coast. Moderate all eastern coast. Rain probable in North. Island generally. Warning signals for northerly gales exhibited an Cape Maria Van Dieinen and Tiritiri. For easterly gales at Cape Farewell. ' _~_,_,_ Synopsis of last 24 hours: Slowly «i----creasing pressure everywhere with moderate strong easterly winds. Rain has fallen northward of Auckland, a good fall has taken place between Wapier ana Taupo and the East Cape. Pressure low in tne Tasman Sea, travelling sou to east. Low pressue is due the meridian South Cape, 13th.
