FIRE AT LEICHARDT.
SYDNEY, Wednesday,
Wallace and Co.'.s boot and clothing factory, at Leichardt, a large twostorey building, fitted with the latest machinery, was destroyed by fire. Thfee hoiises adjoining- were damaged. Over 400 employees are thrown out.of employment.
Mr Wallace estimates his damage at about £20,000. The insurances are £14,000. Mr Wallace was insured in the South British.
