PRIMITIVE METHODISTS IN CONFERENCE.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday.
The ninth annual conference of the Primitive Methodist Church opened to-day at "Wellington. Delegates from all parts of the colony attended. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr C. M. Luke; vice-presi-dent, the Rev. G. Clements; secretary, the Itev. R. Hall; receivers of comiexional funds, the Revs. Ward and Dobbs. The retiring President (the Rev, W. S. Potter) opened the proceeding's, which were mainly formal. In the evening the Rev. E, Drake preached the conference sermon.
