EIFFEL TOWER DWARFED.
The preparations now being- made at St. Louis, W.S., for the forthcoming World's Fair include plans for one ■<( the most remarkable products of engineeringl skill, on a scale so gigantic as to make the Eiffel Tower seem quite a crude.This structure will be known as the Friede Aerial Globe, and will consist of an immense Steel sphere 700 feet high, from its stone base to its top. At a height of 110 feet will be a spacious roof garden 1000 feet in circumference, and containing two restaurants and two theatres. At 295 feet high will be a coliseum, with ironbridged walks around the globe, giving a complete view of the grounds below. There will be two circus rings, with a race track surrounding them, and underneath the tiers of seats is to be a menagerie. At an elevation of 420 feet the plans provide for a grand music hall, at 450 feet an aerial palm garden, and, finally, an obsei'vation tower will be provid ;cl &t GOO feet above the ground, whore Ihe weather bureau and a searchlight display are to be located.
