PALMERSTON NORTH, this day.
The Borough Council last fiigSil elected Mr W. P. Wood Mayor, vice Ml Snelson, deceased. Mr Fred PirM was also a candidate. The voting was: Wood 6, Pirani 4. Mr Piranl. afterwards resigned his seat on tfcf £, ground that he had been miffed.
