POLICE COURT.

Drunkenness.—Four first offenders were convicted and discharged. Another was fined 5/ and costs, in default 24 hours, and one who did noe put in an appearance was fined of nnd co-is to be deducted from his bail. Mary Lewis, for a fifth offence within six'months, was fined 10/ and costs or _S hours hard labour. Mary Whittingham was fined 5/ and costs, in default 24 hours. Mary Ann ____■ tledale, an old age pensioner, was convicted, one month's pension being ordered to be deducted from her pension. Thomas Trudgeon was fined 10/, in default 24 hours.

Preach of the Peace.—David Morgan and Charles Linblom pleaded guilty to fighting in Hobson-street yesterday afternoon. Morgan, who had been previously convicted, was fined 40/ and costs or 14 days' hard labour. Charles Linblom. who made his first appearance, was fined 20/, in default 7 days' hard labour.

Remanded.—Two little children, Nellie and Mary Lewis, aged 9 and 11, were charged with stealing a perambulator, value 15/. The children were remanded until to-morrow at the request of Sub-Inspector Mitchell.

Indecency.—William Arrol pleaded not guilty to wilful exposure. He was convicted and sentenced to one week's imprisonment with hard labour. This concluded the business.
