The Shamrock 11., Sir Thomas Lipton's America cup challenger has sailed for New York.
It is expected that she will take 17 days on the run across.
[The conditions under which English yachts compete for the America Cup provide, that the challenger must sail across the Atlantic. Sir Thomas Lipton's yacht Erin will accompany the Shamrock 11. in her voyage across the Atlantic, and render assistance when possible.]
