BULLION PROPERTY,

Mr U. McGregor sold by auction yesterday at Thames the Bullion G.M. Company's claim at Tapu, together with all' tools, rails, etc., on the ground. The price realised was £10, Mr James Hawkcs, of Thnmen, being the purchaser. This property was formerly known as the Sheridan, and a few years ago was taken up by a Napier syndicate that expended some £-1000 in development and other works. Subsequently a local company named the Bullion took over the mine, and during the last couple of years tribute parties secured one or two rich hauls from the ground.

WAIHI EXTENDED,

Concerning the reef reported by wire as having been cut in the Waihi Extended mine, the manager, Mr Johns, has reported that the formation was first noticed when the drive was in 38, feet, but owing to being a mixture of quartz stringers and country he was not certain of it being the lode until some defined quartz was touched in the hangingwall, when it was plainly seen that the drive had been passing through some large reef formation. He is now driving on it in a S.W. direction to ascertain if it will make into a defined reef, and so far as work has proceeded there is an appearance, the manager considers, of such being the case, as the country is of a kindly nature, and mineralised. The N.W. •drive is in 73 feet.
