CJiPvISTCHURCH, this day,
Th.? dispute between the Canterbury Curriers' Union and the employers wus started at the Arbitration Ccmrt this morning. The demands -of the Union are for eight hours' work on five days and four hours on Saturday, at a minimum wage of 1/41 per hour, paid weekly, one apprentice to every four journeymen, preference to Unionists, and only two classes of workmen to be recognised, journeymen and apprentices.
