DEATH FROM BURNS.

WANGANUI, this day.

A Maori girl, 14 years of age, died on Tuesday at a native settlement 15 miles from Wanganui as the result of burns. She was warming herself before the fire at the Kauangaroa School when her clothes caught fire. She ran outside, followed by the teacher and others, but, before the lire could be put out nearly all the clothes were burnt off.
