TRADES' RUGBY UNION
The following- team will represent the Butchers in the match' against the Bakers at Potter's to-morrow (Wednesday):—Porteous, Gladding, Shaw, Bailey, Cooper, Purdie, Moran, Knight, Jones, Lee, Long, Slatterns, AveneJJ, •Banks, Vazey, Smith, Morris, Whole. The Butchers' brake leaves D.S.C. corner at 2 p.m., proceeding1 via Ponsonby.
Mr Ewington said the disparities of life were not due so much to the workings of society as they seemed to be the eternal law of the Great Architect of the Universe. As for equal opportunities for their children, ne would l.ke his own children to have the same advantages as those of a man who was in receipt of £1000 a year. The vote of thanks was then adopted.
