WAS IT SELF-SACRIFICE.
The Paris correspondent of the "Daily Mail," writing on May sth, says: —Some excitement has been caused, especially in clerical circles, by the alleged confession of a woman, formerly servant to Abbe Fricot, cure of Entrammes, who was murdered seven years ago. His vicar. Abbe Bruneau, was tried, found guilty, and executed for the murder.
Now this former servant declares that she and another person were the actual murderers, and that she confessed to Abbe Bruneau, who suffered death rather than break the seal of the confessional.
Some doubt is, however, thrown upon the woman's story, which is being investigated.
