CHRISTCHURCH, Friday

The following companies of volunteers arrived this morning:—Dannevirke, Masterton, I'ahiatua, Woodvillc, and Grey town Rifles, under Major Drummond, Nelson Rifles under Major Wolfe, also the Blenheim and Nelson Bands, Wanganui and Feilding Bands, Rangitikei, Royals (Marton), Palmerst.on North, Feilding, and Foxton Rifles under Lieut.Col. Watt, a total of 1850. Colonel Teuton and staff, and six field guns of the D Battery, Wellington, also arrived this afternoon. 2850 cadets are in the city.

A careful estimate of the total number of troops to parade on Monday is 11,500, of which 1500 are mounted and 3500 cadets.
