VOLUNTEER NOTES.
The "A" Battery, 34 strong, and ton members of the Cycle Corps, left for Christchurch yesterday afternoon, to attend the Koyal review. The party Is under the command of Sergeant Hazard.
The concluding match for the Waihi G.M. Company's medals resulted in a win for Private W. Morrison, of No. 3 Ohinemuri Corps PriVate Parslow of the same corps was second. Scores are as follows: Vol. Morrison, 1116; Vol. Parslow. 1.13; Corp. Rose, 111; Vol. Haggard, 10S; Vol. Comes, 107; Sergt. Clark. 103; Vol. Ready, !)8; Vol. W. Samson, 94. To-day the cup presented by Messrs T. and S. Morrin was to bo again fired for. The ranges are '!00, COO and 700 yards.—(Own Correspondent.)
