SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

WESTPORT, Thursday.

A serious accident happened this afternoon. Bit Henry-street, railway crossing.. An expressman, named W. Green, was crossing the line "with an express cart, and did not notice an engine approaching, through his view of the line being blocked by the railway workshops.' A collision occurred, with the result that the express was smashed to pieces, and tne horse injured. Green was thrown out, and sustained very severe injuries, the precise nature of which is not yet ascertained. Green is aa old West Coaster. .
