A fight occurred at ■ Tientsin amongst French, British and.jGerman soldiers. The Welsh Fusiliers, acting as policemen, tried to prevent some French soldiers from plundering a house in Taku Road. Two hundred French and Germans then attacked the Fusiliers with bayonets and bricks, wounding four. The Fusiliers fired, killing one Frenchman and wounding- three and also wounding five Germans.
