Wind: Gale between uorth and oast and gouth-east at ail places northward of Napier aud New ■ Plymouth, and from between north-east and north and west elsewhere.
Barometer: Fall • everywhere soon.
Sea: Heavy on Eastern and on Western Coast south of Pnpe Egmont: considerable tbc-nce northwards. = ■ Tides: High <>v Eastern Coast northward of Kaikoura: low at Lyttelton and Akaroa; good southward: high on Western Coast south of New Plymouth: good at all other parts. Rain will be heavy northward of Kast Cape. Taupo. ami Raglan, aud south of Cape Farewell and Kaikoura. and is to be expected in all other parts of the country.
Warning signals for easterly gales are exhibited at Cape Maria and Tlri, aud for northerly galea at. Capes Foulwind, Fare,Vell Spit, and Campbell.
