INQUEST.
An inquest was held this morning by Mr T. Gresham, Coroner, touching the death of an infant named George Edwin Harrison, aged 15 months, son of Mr Horace E. Harrison, piano tuner, Ellerslie. It appears that the child while playing in the kitchen on Sunday afternoon got its clothes on fire. The servant who was in the adjoining room rushed in on hearing the child's cries, tore off the burning clothes and wrapped the child in a dressing gown. The poor little fellow was badly burned- about the legs, arms and body, and though given .every attention by Dr. Bewes and the Hospital authorities lie died at the Hospital yesterday from shock following on the burns. The jury returned a verdict of accidental death, no blame being attachable to afryone.
