WAIHI EXTENDED. The drive N.W. from the shaft is in eighteen feet, and the country is of a favourable character. The. S.E. drive is in eight feet, both faces being fully manned. NEW WHAU. The ore body is one foot wide, and as the junction is neared sei_- to be increasing in size. Some ...ne quartz is of a kindly nature. In the stopes above No. 1 level the leader has jumped into the footwall. KOMATA REEFS RETURN. In spite of the fact that ten head of I stampers at the Komata Reefs battery | had to be hung up during the past month for want of water for motive power, still the return was a satisfactory one, 420 tons having yielded £1700. • '•'. Shareholders in the Te Puke Gold Reefs met yesterday afternoon at Mr R. R. Hunt's office.* Mr Thomas Peacock presided. The directors' report stated that an option had been lei over the property, which they had reason to think would lead to something tangible. The report was adopted, Mr H. E. Partridge being re-elected director and Mr M. S. Leers auditor. On the motion of the .chairman a formal resolution was passed authorising the directors to dispose of the property.
