Th_ s.s. Taieri left for Westport last evening to load coal for Auckland. 1
Tho s.s. Mararoa left for Sydney at 5.20 O'clock last evening with a number of passengers.
The schooner May Howard went up to the Kauri Timber Co.'s mill to discharge her consignments of timber from Hokianga.
Owing to the heavy weather on the coast, the s.s. Waimana was unable to leave for Whakatane last evening. She is to leave at midnight to-night. •
The American barque Chas. G. Rice, now lying In stream, is detained here on account of the unfavourable wind. She will leave for New York oh the first possible opportunity.
