Tire Hon. J. Carroll, Native Minis-' ter, leaves for Rotorua to-morrow morning. He. informs us that the Wairarapa Mounted Rifles, 100 strong ! (th« only Maori volunteer corps in the colony), under Captain Rimini, are now on their way overland to Itotorua to act as the Royal escort. They are now at Hastings, and will ride from there to the Hot Lakes via Taupp. A bad accident occurred yesterday at Waihi Bt'ach to a young boy named GibbonF, who was using dynamite.
