CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR "AT HOME."
On Friday evening in the Tabernacle schoolroom, the Auckland Christian Endeavour Union held a very successful "At Home," the Spacious room being well filled. The President (Rev. J. T. Pinfold) occupied the chair, and there were also present Revs, Macnicol, Cairney Benning, Walker, Barrett, Griffiths, Gittos, Potter, Aldridge, and Kelly. Brief addresses were' delivered by Revs. Griffiths and Barrett. Solos were sung by Misses Layer, Wood, Tonkinfe, White, and Messrs Aspinall, Kent, Lees, and Skeats. Refreshments were served by the ladies tinder the direction of Miss Kirk (convener). The principal motive for the gathering was to welcome new work.ers, and it was felt by all present that the idea was a happy one. The speakers expressed their cordial appreciation of the great service being rendered to Christianity by the Endeavour movement.
