PUBLIC SCHOOL MATCHES.
The third round of the public school matches was played on Saturday. Owing to the bad weather one match went by default, and two were postponed.
Napier-street v. Mt. Eden. — Napierstreet won.by KJ points to nil. Denz scored two tries and Wakey potted a goal-and kicked a penalty goal. Newton East \*. Onehunga.-—One-hunga won easily by 30 points to nil. Ponsonby v. Parnell.—This match resulted in a draw, each side scoring a try. Petford scored for Parnell and Conway for Ponsonby. Wellesley-stwet v. Mt. Albert.—The former won by 6 points to nil. Nelson-street v. Beresford-street.-The latter won by default. Wellesley-street v. Richmond Road.Thls mutch was postponed • Newmarket v. Epsom.-Thta match was postponed.
