THE MAORI ARCH.
THE SITE CHANGED
• Public Works Department have n-itified the Reception Committee that the Maori arch which has been in the course of erection near the Jewish Synagague, is too narrow, and will not permit of the Royal carriage, and escort passing through. At a meeting of the Emergency Committee this morning it was decided to remove the arch and erect it across the top of Domain-street, between the Grammar School and St. Paul's Church, so that the Royal visitors will have a good view of this unique structure as they turn into SymoaJsstreet. The framework of the arch had been erected in Princes-street, and will now have to be removed.
