HUNTING.
The Pakuranga Hounds met at thtt Monument, Otahuhu, on Wednesday last. The hounds were thrown off ii* Mr Laxon's property, Papatoitoi. The* fences were nearly all wire, and. thfif only two followers who kept with then* were Miss Ethel Abbott1 and Mr Wynn( Grey. A hare was found near a creek* and the hounds followed her \ratil she! escaped into a garden. The following ladies and gentlemen were amongsti the followers: Misses K. Crowe on; Ptarmigan, Abbot on Eric, F. Davis on; a bay, Stribly on Topsy, M. Buckland! on Villiers, 0. BuckJand on Comet, B, Gorrie on Jim, Game on Joe, Martin; on a bay, Rae on Carbine; Mesdamesf Cxowe on Dick, and Moody on a bay;J Messrs Tonks on Lepperton, Grey on; Kilcairn, Board on Black, Pittar o« Marine, Pattern on Ararua, Ttfells OTSt Pohutukuwa, Ttfaster on Peter Simple^ Crowther on Skipper, Shepard on Two* pence, Moody on Freewill, Ellett onf Miss Drury, R. H. Kinloek on Starlight^ Driving were Mrs Kelly, Mr Abbottj and Bcato *n& Crowe. "t
